read. read. and uhmm reading. (:

I am reading the book "A Christmas Carol." I like this book but I think I'm only going to read it for fun and find another reading book for the English Reading Journal, because I think the book has less pages. So far the book is is getting interesting. At first the book was boring to me. I wanted to read this book because the movie was coming out. I thought it would be nice if I were to compare the book to the movie. I wanted to know if there would be major changes to the story in the movie. I also liked the author of the book Charles Dickens. I think he is a great author and I love reading his books. The book has about 200 pages. I found this book at home. What I also like about this book is that it uses high vocabulary words. I like reading high vocabulary books, because for every word that I find perplexing in a book, I search it up and study the root of the word and where it came from, but then when I am lazy or am busy, I would just search up the definition of the word.
What I learned from my first two books was that I should think about what I am going to write for my Reading Journal because it makes the reading Journal easier to do, and I can understand the hidden meaning of the book and the theme. LALA. byebye. (:

HIGHLIGHTS OF MY READING YEAR.
The highlights of my reading year are... ; the lyrics of songs is meaningful to me because of the hidden message behind the song. These lyrics to songs teach me that there is more to life than what is shown. Poems of love and sorrow has also taught me that people who write those poems have their feelings hidden in the poem and that is what makes it special, because we can understand how the person is feeling. I have also learned that the authors of poems write poems in different forms depending on their emotions, while they write it. I really love poems and they each have a theme so I learn a lot from just reading one poem, even though they're long ;). I love songs too, especially because you can get an image of the lyrics to the song. Getting a different point of view in the meanings of the song. Some low-lights of my reading year are that some books were boring to me while others were interesting. Most books that include

THAT THEME ! :o
I think about the theme by reminiscing about what the story was about, and the important information about the book from reading it. I think understanding the theme is important because it is message, or a life lesson taught from reading the book, so it gives you a out look on some messages that might happen in life that might help you and connect with the problems going on in your life or someone you know. I see theme occurring in poems, and lyrics of songs. A theme from my book that is meaningful to me is "Learn a lesson from your past."
